What is barre?

Barre is an exercise method combining the foundations of Pilates, yoga, and ballet.  It is a fun and challenging full body workout designed to a create long, lean, and toned body.  Barre targets a specific muscle group with small controlled isometric movements utilizing a ballet barre, light weights, or body resistance to help you sculpt and tone your arms, abs, thighs, and seat.

What should I wear to barre class?

Wear comfortable workout clothes. We recommend exercise pants leggings of capri length or longer and a tank top or t-shirt. Exercise is done barefoot or you may choose to wear grip socks.

Who can benefit from taking a barre class?

People of all ages and fitness levels can benefit from taking barre. No dance experience is necessary. Exercises are low impact, creating minimal stress on joints.

What should I expect from a barre class?

Barre classes are 60 minutes long and set to upbeat music to get you motivated to work. Hands-on instructors will guide and help you to correct form so you can get the most out of your workout. Specific muscle groups are worked to fatigue, followed by a stretching sequence.

First time clients should arrive 15 minutes early to provide time to meet your instructor, take a tour of the studio, and fill out a client waiver.

What should I bring to class?

All equipment is provided. Bring water to keep your body hydrated.

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that life is hectic and things happen. We ask that if you cannot attend a class that you cancel within two hours of the start time. Otherwise, we will be unable to refund your account for that class.

Other Class Formats Offered

Pound

Pound is a full-body workout that utilizes lightweight drumsticks and combines cardio, conditioning, and strength training with yoga and Pilates inspired movements.  It is designed for all fitness levels.  Pound is a fun, upbeat workout set to amazing music!

Pumped Up Strength

Pumped Up Strength is a new approach to resistance training.  It combines strength training and cardio by utilizing dynamic integration flows of upper and lower body movement.  Like Barre and Pound, it is beat driven and set to fun music.  The result?  A functionally efficient workout that will challenge your body in new ways, improve lean muscle mass, increase bone density, and rev your metabolism.
